FAQs
What is the difference between gold filled and gold plated?
Gold Plated is an affordable option that is perfect for gifting. Plated jewelry is more sensitive to tarnishing and changing color over time.
Gold Filled is a higher quality of metal that is tarnish resistant. This would be ideal for everyday wear.
Can you fix a plated jewelry after it has tarnished?
Unfortunately, you cannot. Since chemical cleaners are a big no no with plated jewelry, proper care is very important. In order to get as much wear out of your jewelry, I recommend removing it before sleeping, coming into contact with water, direct contact with lotions or perfumes, ect. It is best to store your jewelry in a safe, dry place (not the bathroom counter where it comes in contact with steam).
How do I choose a chain length?
Chain length is personal preference and also is different on every person. To find the perfect length on you, you can use a piece of string (or anything) to hold around your neck then measure it. I also offer 2” chain extenders that can be added to your necklace for versatility.
What is the best lengths for layering?
I usually recommend a 16” disc with a 18” bar. I would say to try to have a 2”-3” difference depending on the type of necklace.
Do you make repairs?
I do! If your chain or clasp has been broken or is loose, I will be able to repair it for you. I have a designated tab on my website with more information and goes over your options for repairing your piece. You can find this under the repairs tab at the top of my website.
Do you sell locally or only online?
I normally have inventory at a local salon, but due to Covid19 I do not have local shopping options at this time. I normally do a lot of events and pop-ups where I stamp on the spot and you can design your piece and take it home all at once. It is lots of fun and I cannot wait to start again! I will be creating an events tab here on my website once we are clear to start again!
