It is very important to always remove your plated jewelry before sleeping, swimming, showering or going to the gym. It is also best to avoid direct contact with lotions or perfumes. Plated jewelry is sensitive to tarnishing once it is exposed to wet conditions. You should never use a chemical cleaner to clean your jewelry. Once your piece starts to change color, it is impossible to reverse.

When you are not wearing your jewelry it is best to keep it in a safe, dry space! I know it is so temping to set it on the counter while you shower, but you want to keep it away from steam. While you cannot remove tarnish or color changing on your jewelry, you can use a soft jewelry cloth to remove fingerprints or smudges.
